Boxing & British TV: A Painful Divorce?
Sport is a competitive business – there are hundreds of varying endeavors that sit under its umbrella, and all of them are chasing not only an audience, but also they are trying to attract talent and youth. Boxing, of course, is a tough sell. Trying to persuade kids that getting punched on the nose is a great way to spend their spare time is not easy, particularly when they can hit, kick or throw a ball, run round a track, or just sit in an armchair to enjoy sport.
